Over the Christmas break we have updated some of the software in the ECA Windows PC Labs. Here is a roundup of what is new.

Adobe CC 2024 - The latest 2024 release of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is now available in all ECA Windows PC labs. Our installation includes: Acrobat, After Effects, Animate, Audition, Bridge, Character Animator, Dimension, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Premiere Rush, Xd. Please note that Prelude has been discontinued by Adobe and has therefore been removed.

IESVE 2023 - The latest 2023 release of IES Virtual Environment (previously known as VE-GAIA) is now available in all ECA Windows PC labs.

Ultimaker Cura 5.6 - The latest 5.6 release of Cura which includes a new faster, more efficient print engine.

Over the summer we have rebuilt the ECA Lab Macs from the ground up! With new hardware and software to ensure an improved user experience. Here is a summary of some of the new software.

macOS 13 - Our lab Macs are now running macOS 13 Ventura.

Ableton Live 11 - The latest version 11.3 of Ableton Live Standard is now available in the ECA Mac labs.

Blender 3 - The new version 3.5 release of Blender is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs.

Pro Tools 2023 - Avid Pro Tools 2023 Studio edition with the Complete Plugin Bundle is now available in all ECA Mac labs.

MATLAB 2023 - The latest 2023 release of MathWorks MATLAB is now available in the ECA Mac labs.

Maya 2024 - The latest 2024 release of Autodesk Maya, with the enhanced V-Ray 6 renderer, is now available in the ECA Mac labs.

REAPER 6 - The new version 6.8 release of REAPER is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs.

Rhino 7 - Rhinoceros has been updated to version 7.30 in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs (with V-Ray 6.1).

Sibelius 2023 - The latest 2023 release of Sibelius, with the enhanced NotePerformer 4.1 sound library, is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs.

SketchUp 2023 - The latest 2023 release of SketchUp Pro is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs (with V-Ray 6.1).

Unity 2022 LTS - The latest Long Term Support (LTS) release of the Unity 3D engine is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs.

Autodesk Suite 2024 - The latest 2024 release of the Autodesk Suite is now available in all ECA Windows PC labs. The suite includes: 3ds Max 2024 (with V-Ray 6.1), AutoCAD 2024, Inventor Pro 2024, Maya 2024 (with V-Ray 6.1), MudBox 2024, Netfabb Premium 2024, ReCap Pro 2024, Revit 2024

Blender 3 - The new version 3.5 release of Blender is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs.

CLO 7 - CLO version 7.2 is now available in our Windows PC labs.

REAPER 6 - The new version 6.8 release of REAPER is now available in all ECA Mac and Windows PC labs.

When you login on our Mac lab computers you will likely see a network login box like the one below. You don't need to enter anything into this box and you can just click Cancel. We are working with colleagues in the central networking team and hope to prevent this unnecessary pop-up from appearing in the future.

Update: A fix for this issue has now been rolled out. The below pop-up should no longer appear.
