Dear reader,

This special issue of the Roslin Record newsletter celebrates 25 years since the birth of Dolly the Sheep at the Roslin Institute. Born on 5 July 1996, Dolly was the first mammal cloned from an adult cell.

In this newsletter you can read about her life, memories of her, the impact she continues to have on scientific research, see a three-dimensional model of her, and take a quiz to test whether your knowledge about the world’s most famous sheep is woolly.

Best wishes,

The Roslin Communications Team
